Marketfest is a summer festival in beautiful downtown White Bear Lake that runs Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, June 16 – July 28, 2022. In its 31st year it continues to attract locals and visitors who are interested in a lively, family-friendly atmosphere. Each week two stages offer live concerts showcasing local bands from diverse musical genres including jazz, blues, rock, folk, country, and funk. The festival features children’s games and activities, pony rides, a farmer’s market and a classic car show. More than 180 vendors offer a wide variety of arts, crafts, merchandise, services and foods. An estimated 4,000-5,000 people attend each Thursday. Retro Soul & Westside Horns ft. Big Mike 6:00 – 9:00 pm Kowalski’s Markets Gazebo Stage 7:00 pm Intermission – Children’s Performing Arts Retro Soul and the Westside Horns is a group of seasoned musicians that reside in the Twin Cities metro area that have a passion for making good music. They play their style of blues rock inspired originals, combined with family friendly good time oldies from the 60’s 70’s and 80’s that include: R&B favorites such as Wilson Pickett, Ottis Redding, Marvin Gaye to old time rock and roll from The Beatles, and the Rolling Stones.
Mr. Winky 6:00 – 9:00 pm White Bear Mitsubishi 3rd Street Stage 7:15 pm Intermission – TBA This is a classic rock and roll band, 60’s through 80’s music. 5 member group that sings, lead and back up vocals, with instruments including guitar, drums, bass, keyboard, sax and percussion.
