This summer, White Bear Center for the Arts (WBCA) is offering a revamped summer camp program, known as ‘Imagine Art.’ Previously, the art center located on Long Avenue in White Bear Lake offered a-la-carte art classes for kids throughout the summer. This year, students have the opportunity to sign up for full weeks of art summer camp, where they’ll take a week of morning classes, afternoon classes, or both. Throughout the week, kids in grades 2-8 will get creative in different art mediums like pottery, watercolor, acrylic, sculpture, and more, taught by WBCA teaching artists. They’ll explore their artistry in WBCA’s outdoor campus, and inside the studios. These summer camp offerings are perfect for kids who love to create, or are interested in dipping their toes into brand new forms of artmaking.
Imagine Art also includes optional Intergenerational Fridays, where kids and their adults can explore WBCA’s gallery spaces together. Looking for options for teen classes? WBCA is offering summer pottery classes for teens throughout the whole summer. You can find more information on all of these offerings at whitebeararts.org/imagine-art.
