Celebrating 100 Years of Supporting Local Businesses

Established in 1923, the White Bear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting the businesses and community of White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Their mission is to strengthen businesses through advocacy, networking and education. They act as a resource for businesses and organizations in the area, and serve the cities of Birchwood, Dellwood, Gem Lake, Hugo, Mahtomedi, Maplewood, North Oaks, North St. Paul, Vadnais Heights, White Bear Lake, White Bear Township and Willernie.

Membership in the White Bear Area Chamber offers a variety of benefits to businesses. Businesses can enjoy increased visibility through the Chamber’s website and publications, networking opportunities at events and programs, referrals from other members, and cost-saving benefits on services and products. The Chamber also offers educational workshops and seminars on relevant topics, and advocates for the interests of the business community on legislative issues.

The Chamber hosts a number of events and programs throughout the year. These include business expos, ribbon cutting ceremonies for new businesses, and community gatherings. These events provide opportunities for businesses to connect with potential customers, for members to network with each other, and for the community to come together.

Introducing Kari Moore, the Chamber’s New Executive Director

Kari grew up in Elbow Lake, MN. She received a Bachelor’s degree from Minnesota State University, Moorhead. After college, Kari moved to the metro area and completed her Master of Public Health degree from the University of Minnesota. She moved to Baltimore, MD and then Clarksville, TN. While in Tennessee, Kari received her MBA in Nonprofit Management and was the Executive Director of the USO Fort Campbell and USO Nashville for more than ten years. In July 2022, Kari and her family moved to Oakdale, MN.

In her free time, Kari enjoys running, playing and watching hockey, and volunteering. She is on the University of Minnesota School of Public Health Alumni Board, the Oakdale Parks and Recreation Commission, and the Board of Directors for Big Fluffy Dog Rescue.
